Masindi Army defeated Masindi SS 1-0 in the boys’ football category while the latter beat the former in girls’ football final. Masindi Municipal Qualifiers came to a close with two finals played at Masindi Stadium.

Arnold Bagonza struck in the fifth minute of the game to give Masindi Army a dream start to the final.

This victory was a huge milestone for Masindi Army as they won their first ever trophy in the qualifiers with over twenty years of existence.

Masindi SS got hold of a trophy in the girls’ category to avenge defeat in the boys’ football.
Gloria Alinaitwe broke the deadlock in the sixth minute. The early goal proved to be the difference in a game where bot sides failed to exert control and dominance.

Masindi Army head coach emphasized that his team was not going to get carried away sighting a long journey to make it to the National stage.
