Mbogo Rivals At It Again-Table Tennis
A nail biting encounter that was meant to settle a “Mbogo” rivalry saw Mbogo College try to erase the 3-2 loss that they conceded at the Kampala zone qualification games however this was to no avail as history repeated itself once in the semifinal of the ongoing ball games 1 at Bukedea Comprehensive.



Match Highlights
In a thrilling first set Nabwire Patricia won the first set from Namiiro Swabra in a game that ended 3-2 showing a scoreline of 5:11-11:6-3:11-7:11-7:11 in favor of Nabwire.
This spectacle was followed by second seeds Namaala Shanita captain of Mbogo High and Alice Mirabeau of Mbogo College who went into another 3-2 encounter with a score of 11:3 -12:10 – 8:11- 4:11- 11:6
The third set had the number three seeds Sentongo Mercy of Mbogo High and Tendo Gillian of Mbogo College 2-3 who ended their match in the first loss Mbogo high as Gillian defeated Mercy over a scoreline of 12:10 – 7:11 – 9:11 – 11:8 – 9:11
This meant that the set score was now 2-1 and that there had to be a rotation in the players in order to give the team a 3rd and 4th round this saw Mbogo High team captain Namaala Shanitah return to the table aganist the top seed of Mbogo College Namiiro Swabra unfortunately for Shanitah victory evaded her as she lost 3-0 to Namiiro in a game whose scoreline showed 4:11 – 11:13 – 6:11
Both teams now had 2 sets which meant the decider was going to be an exhilarating one, Mbogo High’s top seed Nabwire Patricia graced the table once more aganist Mbogo College’s 2nd seed Alice Mirabeau this game went in favor of Patricia as she dominated in a fast paced 3-0 encounter with a scoreline of 11:6 – 11:8 – 7:11
Result
In a hard fought exchange showing a set score of 3-2 in favor of Mbogo High over Mbogo College, Mbogo High advanced to the finals and Mbogo College will now have to fight for third place if there are any hopes of getting to the FEASSA games.

After the game vice-captain of Mbogo College School Tendo Gillian said “We have lost the game and accepted that maybe the pressure got to us, we guess it’s as God presided, we played a tight game and in the end it slipped out of our fingers we hope to play a better game in the third place qualification game we have against Mbogo Mixed School”
The Captain Mbogo High School Namaala Shanitah said “I have realized it’s not over till it’s over, we were playing catch up for most of the games yet fate still found us the better team, victory was expected but reality that we won is very comforting. We hope for the best in the final”
