Ngora High School will play as hosts for this year’s National Boys Football Championship that kicks off on April 5th.
Ngora is a Church of Uganda founded School that started in 1914.
Despite having qualified as hosts, Ngora competed at both the district and Teso Zone qualifiers and finished second at each level.
Ngora’s best performance in schools football was the triumph at USSSA Teso Zone in 2015 where they were champions.
This year’s engagement marks Ngora’s fifth time featuring at the national games having made it in 2015, 2018, 2022 and 2024 but all these attempts they havent gone past group stages.
The team will be headed by Kenyan tactician Otieno Chris and captain Ocokan Emmanuel.
They will also rely on Emmanuel Otim, Ekoot Eliud Benjamin, Okilima Gerald, and Ali Kiyingi in a mission to break the jinx.
Ngora was drawn in group B alongside Mehta High School, Agape Secondary School, and Kyadondo Secondary School.
They will kick off the championship against Agape Secondary School on Wednesday 7th at 1pm at Ngora High School playground
