National Organizing Committee Ready to Deliver Memorable Ball Games II Championship

Rushorooza, Kigezi – The National Organizing Committee for the USSSA Ball Games II Championship expressed their satisfaction after conducting a thorough inspection of the facilities and preparations for the upcoming event. The Chairman of the Committee extended gratitude to all stakeholders for their invaluable contributions and outlined the high expectations for the championship.

“We have completed our inspection, and we are pleased with the efforts put forth thus far. Thank you so much to everyone involved. We are immensely grateful for the journey we have undertaken,” stated the Committee Chairman, Hajji Twahil Kitezeela

Uganda, known as the Champion of East Africa, recognizes the significance of these games as qualifiers for the Fiasa Games scheduled for August this year. The country’s youth have already gained international exposure through engagements in Slovakia, Serbia, France, and emerging triumphant. The Chairman expressed gratitude to the government for their support and financial extensions, ASSHU for their financial assistance to schools participating in national events, and ASU for their continued support.

Acknowledging the crucial role of headteachers, the Chairman commended their dedication and acknowledged St. Mary’s Rushorooza and its partners for hosting the event. The Committee also expressed appreciation for the assurance of security provided by the relevant authorities.

“Now, as the organizing committee, we commit ourselves to deliver a successful championship. We promise to fulfill our responsibilities,” declared the Chairman.

However, before the championship begins, the Chairman emphasized the expectations of the spectators and participants. The Ball Games II is a significant event, which is why the committee chose the Kigezi region, particularly Rushorooza, as the host. The Chairman highlighted the region’s capability to handle the challenge and emphasized the importance of showcasing the renowned hospitality and culinary prowess of Kigezi, known as the food basket of Uganda.

“We are aware of the immense fan base and the enthusiasm for sports in this region. With over 6,000 participants, excluding officials, and countless fans, it is essential to plan accordingly. We aim for a memorable championship, with all eyes set on Kigezi. And I have no doubt that Kigezi has never disappointed. We sincerely wish you a wonderful championship and assure you that we will deliver on all aspects,” concluded the Chairman.

As the anticipation builds, the National Organizing Committee remains committed to ensuring a seamless and unforgettable experience for all participants, officials, and spectators. The success of the championship rests on the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders, and the committee’s dedication to delivering a memorable event will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the sporting landscape of Uganda.
