Presentation of bids by schools that intend to host 2026 USSSA National Championships

The schools that tendered in their bids to host the 2026 USSSA National championships have this morning made presentations to support their bids at the USSSA Offices in Old Kampala.

The meeting was attended by teachers, head teachers,directors from various bidding schools and USSSA executive committee members.

USSSA organizes a total of five national championships namely Elite Secondary school games, National Ball Games 1, Football boys Championship, National Swimming Gala and Ball games II (athletics and mind games).

The chief guest was Odong Sammy, Assistant Commissioner Department of Physical Education and Sports, ministry of Education and Sports.

In his remarks he thanked the schools for interesting themselves in USSSA activities.

“To all those that bid, I would like to thank you for sharing interests in USSSA activities.Let us unite,let us serve this country in whatever capacity God had called us to serve(games teachers,headctecahers,coaches etc) as we play our role to develop sports.” concluded Mr. Odong.

All the schools that bid were inspected between 2nd to 6th October to assess the availability of sports facilities as well as accommodation.

The successful schools will be announced in due course.
