The Rwenzori Zone Qualifiers 2025 are reaching their climax, with schools battling it out for a coveted spot in the finals and nationals. The quarterfinals have delivered thrilling results, setting the stage for an exciting semifinal showdown.
Boys’ Quarterfinals
The boys’ quarterfinals were marked by intense competition and drama. Garama emerged victorious against Kamwenge Voc, winning 5-3 in a penalty shootout after a goalless draw. The match between Fortportal and Kyabenda was unfortunately not completed. St Leo’s College secured a narrow win against Mpanga, triumphing 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 0-0 draw. Kibiito edged out Divine Mercy 2-1 in a closely contested match.
Girls’ Quarterfinals
The girls’ quarterfinals saw some impressive performances. Buheesi dominated SMG, winning 3-0. Moons Voc secured a 2-0 victory over City Hill. Divine Mercy claimed a 1-0 win against Ave Maria. The most decisive victory of the day came from King of Kings, who thrashed Kasese 5-0.
