Sports Administration and Management course comes to a close – JINJA

Overview

USSSA Sports districts delegates completed their three day Sports Administration and Management Course at Jinja College, Jinja. A total of 172 delegates from five zones started training on Thursday 23rd and completed on Sunday 26th January 2025 where they they were awarded certificates.

Participants were taken through ten modules ranging from USSSA and its Activities to Safe Guarding among others.

The delegates were vested with knowledge being facilitated by experienced instructors that inluded Patrick Alfred Okanya, USSSA President Emeritus, Emma Kasakya, USSSA Competitions, Viola Kyolaba, Dr. Sajjabi Vincent and Sam Mpiima.

“We brought this course to all regions because we realized there was a gap developing between the National leadership and the leadership at lower levels. To take school sports to another level we need to develop together.”- Patrick Okanya President Emeritus.

“We had 172 participants of whom 78 were from USSSA and the other 94 from @UPSSAOnline . All five zones of Busoga, Bukedi, Teso, Sebei and Bugisu were represented.” – Geoffrey Langa, USSSA Executive Committee Member

All participants were awarded certificates of participation.
