Team Uganda flagged off for 1st ANOCA School Games in Algeria.

Team Uganda was flagged off at an Cooper Chimney Lugogo, on Monday, 21st July by Dr. Bernard Patrick Ogwel who was chief guest.

The flag off ceremony was attended by athletes, coaches, officials and parents.

Uganda will participate in the first edition of the ANOCA school games slated for 26th July to 5th August 2025.

Representing Zone V under the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), Uganda will participate in the boys’ football category, lawn tennis, table tennis, basketball 3X3, badminton, beach volleyball, swimming and athletics.

Team Composition

Four schools will represent the pearl of Africa, namely Buddo SS, Ngora High School, seroma Christian High School, and Gayaza High School, in addition to National Select teams for Athletics and swimming.

Uganda will front a delegation of 89, which includes 53 athletes, 23 coaches, and 13 officials.

The ANOCA games are set to take place in four cities that is Annaba, Constatine, Setif, and Skikda.

The official opening ceremony will be held in Annaba on 26th July 2025.
