The USSSA Capacity Building: Lubiri Secondary School Hosts Four Disciplines

The USSSA Organises Competitions for Schools, Talent Identification and Development through Capacity Building, and Camps for Pupils, Students, Teachers and sports lovers annually
This year’s USSSA capacity-building program is currently taking place at Lubiri Secondary School in Kampala
The program kicked off on Sunday 8th December 2024.

Participants for example pupils, students, teachers from different primary, secondary, and some tertiary institutions and sports lovers around the nation joined this year’s program

They are to participate and excel in various sports disciplines and courses

Disciplines include;

  • Football
  • Netball
  • Volleyball
  • Media.

Courses include

  • Football coaching and Football refereeing
  • Netball coaching and Netball refereeing
  • Media
  • Volleyball coaching and Volleyball umpiring

With different expectations and motives in the above-mentioned sports disciplines and courses.

This program is aimed at illuminating practical skills to different participants in their respective chosen disciplines , enhancing capacity to contribute to school sports development, and improving opportunities for employment in sports management, coaching and media

“Am so excited and happy to be here today it’s my first time to come for such an organized sports program ” as it was said by Mr Wamala Ismail a trainee of football coaching at Lubiri Secondary school and a manager of Cheetahs sports club in Jinja In the eastern region of the country.

“The sessions are moving on well and I am enjoying both the practical and theoretical part of the classes and it is helping me to keep fit and learning new coaching drills and ideas since am getting the elementary skills from experienced instructors like Coach Ayub Khalifah and I give thanks to the USSSA for such programs “as he continued during the interview .

The USSSA capacity-building program is closing on Friday 13th of December 2024 with the awarding of certificates to the participants in their respective sports disciplines as a sign of excellence and the awarded students will join over 11,485 participants who were trained in the previous capacity-building programs nationwide
The capacity building program is to resume again in January 2025.

    Uh.its really a good program..because it creates room for all individuals who are interested in different disciplines..Actually it enables its learners to acquire different knowledge from best professionals across the country…..such as Kasirye Alex for Media and Coach Ayub Khalifah for Football training…Thanks for the services you provide
