Thrilling Showdown at DanceSport Finale: Winners Emerge in Popping, Breaking, and Crew Battles

“Dance Sport Finale: Popping, Breaking, and Crew Battles Ignite the Stage”

The dance floor was set ablaze as the DanceSport Finale unfolded, showcasing electrifying performances in the categories of popping, breaking, and crew battles. With hearts pounding and spectators cheering, dancers from different schools gave their all to claim victory in this high-energy competition.

Popping Category:

In the popping girls’ category, it was a fierce battle between Charity from London College and Elizabeth from St. Julian. Both dancers displayed incredible skill and creativity, but in the end, it was Elizabeth who emerged triumphant, securing the gold medal for St. Julian.

The popping boys’ category was no less intense, featuring an exciting face-off between Ramathan from SMACON and Abdul from Nyakasura. The crowd was treated to a breathtaking performance, but ultimately, it was Ramathan from SMACON who wowed the judges and claimed the top spot in the final battle.

Breaking Category:

The boys’ breaking category saw a thrilling showdown between Miracle from St. Julian and Ntulime from Crown City. These talented breakers brought their best moves to the floor, but it was Ntulime who managed to outshine his opponent, securing a well-deserved victory and the gold medal.

For the girls’ breaking category, it was an intense battle between Sophia from St. Julian and Gloria. Both dancers displayed incredible strength and style, but it was Sophia who impressed the judges the most, walking away with the coveted gold medal.

Afro Dance Category:

The Afro Dance finals were reserved for the closing ceremony, adding to the excitement of the event. The semi-finalists, Akurut from St. Julian and Jackie from Gombe High School, wowed the audience with their mesmerizing performances, setting the stage for an epic finale.

In the boys’ Afro Dance category, the final battle was between Dickson from Ntare and Vincent from SMACON. The two dancers gave it their all, leaving the judges with a tough decision to make in determining the winner.

Crew Battles:

The crew battles were another highlight of the competition, with Mbarara High School facing off against St. Mark’s Namagoma. The energy in the room was electrifying as these talented crews battled it out for the title. In the end, Mbarara High School’s crew delivered a show-stopping performance, earning them the well-deserved championship title.

Awaiting the Afro Dance Finale:

As the DanceSport Finale came to a close, all eyes were on the Afro Dance category, where both boys and girls were set to compete in the closing ceremony. The anticipation was palpable as the dancers prepared to give it their all in pursuit of the gold medal.

The winners of each category will receive not only the prestigious gold medals but also certificates of recognition from the Uganda Dance Sport Federation, acknowledging their exceptional talent and dedication to the art of dance.

The DanceSport Finale showcased the incredible talent within Uganda’s dance community and highlighted the passion and commitment of these young dancers. The event was a testament to the growing popularity and appreciation of dance sport in the country, and it left everyone eagerly looking forward to future competitions.
