Uganda defend FEASSA swimming title

Rahmah Nakasule and Malcolm Nahamya were the lead swimmers and named most valuable players (MVP) as Team Uganda defended its title at the Federation of East Africa Secondary School Sports Association (FEASSA) Games in Bukedea on Saturday.

The competition was held at the newly constructed 25m pool at Bukedea Comprehensive School and attracted Uganda, Kenya and Burundi.

The team coached by Erick Kisero and Lillian Mugisha accumulated 1,148 overall points from 32 points while Kenya had 1,021 and Burundi 473.

The boy’s team won their category with 545 points and the girls followed suit with 523 points.

Both Nakasule and Nahamya won their four individual events. The latter won another two gold medals in the relays while Nakasule had one more relay gold and silver.
