Uganda Volleyball ambassadors eye semi-final berths at 2023 FEASSSA Games

Uganda’s representatives in Volleyball have set their eyes to the treasured semi-final slots at the ongoing Federation of East Africa Secondary School Sports

Association (FEASSSA) Games in Huye city,Rwanda.

Besides Ngora High, Standard High School Zzana,Namugongo Vocational, Bukedea Comprehensive High School and St Elizabeth (Girls) won their matches on match day four of the championship at Virgo Fidelis complex.

St Elizabeth overcame Kwanthanze 3-0,Namugongo Vocational smiled past Rwanda’s St Joseph in a tight contest and Standard High Zzana came top over Ruthimthu Secondary School fromKenya 3-0.

“We are now targeting the semi-final and shall planafter that” David Kigozi, the team captain of Bukedea Comprehensive School.

In other results, St Aloys edged Soweto Secondary School 3-2.

The FEASSSA Games bring together teams from the different countries of Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan.

This year marks the 20 th edition with South Sudan and Burundi missing.

Besides volleyball, this tournament also has athletics, soccer, Hockey, basketball (3×3 & 5×5), Rugby (7’s &15’s), Handball, Swimming, Badminton, Table Tennis, Tennis, Netball and Goalball for the special category.

GS St Joseph (Rwandae) 1 – 3 Namugongo Secondary and Vocational (Uganda)

Primary Boys

E.E Rubengera 3 – 2 GS Nyirarukobwa (Rwandaa)

Primary Girls

EP Karagari (Rwanda) 0 – 3 Kambarage (Tanzania)
