Ugandan captain Ampaire Namanya believes their team is good enough to win the Federation of Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) Games swimming title.
It is a tight competition where getting on the podium will be paramount in collecting points. Uganda and Kenya have presented about 30 swimmers each with Rwanda fielding 12.

Also the rules of the competition have this time restricted each swimmer to a maximum of two events.
“We look very conditioned and prepared for this event,” Namanya said.
“We are very relaxed but we have to keep our concentration and do what is required of us,” the Greenhill Academy swimmer said.
His female teammate Melva Nandugwa, of Lubiri Secondary School, believes the experience of the Ugandan swimmers should get them through.
“It is my first time on the Uganda team but I have been swimming for over five years so I am very ready. I am not scared of anyone,” the 100m breaststroke swimmer said.
Congratulations to Team Uganda for topping in swimming. They outdid themselves. Fantastic performance! Well done to USSSA. Proud to be part of this team.
