Kampala, Uganda – August 9, 2023 – The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA), in conjunction with the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) and the Association of Secondary School Headteachers of Uganda (ASSHU), extends its heartfelt congratulations to all participants, schools, and officials who showcased remarkable talent and dedication at the National Schools Swimming Gala on August 5th, 2023, hosted at Greenhill Academy in Kampala.
This resounding celebration of aquatic excellence served as the platform to identify exceptional individuals who will proudly represent Uganda at the 20th Edition of the East Africa Secondary School Games, hosted in Huye City, Rwanda, from August 17th to 27th, 2023. The event also seeks to uphold the nation’s legacy as champions, securing the title in both 2019 and 2022.
USSSA is fully committed to ensuring the success of its representatives and will provide comprehensive support including accommodation and meals within the vibrant games village, transportation via road, and seamless border clearance procedures. The association takes immense pride in unveiling the exceptional young talents who have earned the honor of representing Uganda on the international stage.
