Uganda Secondary School Sports Association (USSSA) has officially announced the commencement of the Pre-Championship Verification process for the highly anticipated National Ball Games II National Championship 2023. In a letter addressed to Games Teachers and Sports Directors, USSSA has invited them to participate in the screening, which is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, June 27th to Tuesday, July 3rd, 2023, at the USSSA Secretariat.
The Pre-Championship Verification is a crucial step in ensuring the fair and transparent selection of participants for the National Ball Games II National Championship. USSSA has urged all schools to actively participate in this process by presenting their Games Teachers and Sports Directors along with all the necessary documents for their students.
Among the essential documents required for the Pre-Championship Verification are the fully filled Pre-Championship Verification Form, which must be completed for each student, and a signed Form A by the respective School Headteachers. These forms play a vital role in verifying the eligibility and authenticity of the participants.
In addition to the forms, USSSA has emphasized the need for Games Teachers and Sports Directors to bring the Photo Album generated from the USSSA Online Registration Portal that was utilized during the District and Zonal Qualifiers. This album serves as a visual record of the athletes who successfully progressed through the earlier stages of the competition.
The USSSA Secretariat will be hosting the Pre-Championship Verification from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm throughout the designated dates. It is imperative for all participating schools to adhere to the provided schedule and ensure timely submission of the required documents.
