
Day One of USSSA Capacity Building Program at Lira Town College Kicks Off in Style
The USSSA Capacity Building program at Lira Town College kicked off successfully today, with a total of 63 participants registered by the close of the day. The program, which is designed to enhance the skills and expertise of students, teachers and well wishers, has attracted a diverse group of participants from across the region.
The five-day program, which will run until January 24th, has attracted 36 participants for the Football Refereeing Level One course, while 27 are attending the Football Coaching course, which includes the CAF D certification. The refereeing sessions are being conducted by Kubingi Margaret Kebba Fatia, experienced and respected referees’ instructor in the country. Namuyanja Hadijah, a seasoned coach with a wealth of experience, is leading the football coaching sessions.
The USSSA Capacity Building program is a key initiative aimed at developing the skills and expertise of sports officials in Uganda. The program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to excel in their respective roles. The program covers a range of topics, including refereeing techniques, coaching methodologies, and sports management.
The program’s emphasis on practical training and hands-on experience has been particularly well-received by participants. “I’m really enjoying the program so far,” said one participant. “The trainers are knowledgeable and experienced, and the sessions are interactive and engaging.”
The USSSA Capacity Building program at Lira Town College is an important step towards achieving the organization’s goal of developing the skills and expertise of sports officials in Uganda. With its emphasis on practical training and hands-on experience, the program is well-positioned to make a positive impact on the sports landscape in Uganda.
