To reach finals, Jinja Secondary School beat Westville High School 1-0 in semi-finals courtesy of Owit Lawrence’s first-half strike while Jinja Progressive washed away Kawempe Muslim 3-0 to qualify unbeaten.

The USSSA elite games which kicked off yesterday Thursday 25th January will come to their climax tomorrow Saturday 27th alongside the other four disciplines.
The closing ceremony will start at 12:30 pm at Kakindu playground and at 2 pm the mouth-watering clash will get off the mark.
Jinja Secondary School will play its arch rivals Jinja Progressive Academy in the final game of the championship under the heat and the wild fan base.

Jinja Secondary School qualified for the semi-finals after topping group A with 7 points having won 2 of their first three games and drawing their final game with Kawempe Muslim Secondary School in a four-goal thriller.
Jinja put a dominant performance beating Bukedea Comprehensive SS, Jinja College before surrendering a 2-0 goal lead to Kawempe Muslim to end it 2 all.
Jinja Progressive Academy had a smooth group stage run after beating defending champions Standard High School Zzana 2-1 in their group opener yesterday before thrashing Westville High School 3-0 this morning thanks to James Jarieko’s hat trick.

After qualifying as group leaders, they fall in Kawempe’s way who had qualified as runners-up in group A. Despite an end-to-end first half the giants found the breakthrough via Swabir Mpasa in the 24th minute to end the first half in the lead.
Kawempe seemed to be a better side in the second half but all their efforts couldn’t see any ball in the back of the net before Nicholas Mutebi and James Jarieko sealed it in the dying minutes of the game.
In their last meeting, Jinja Progressive Academy won the highly contested affair 1-0 which was a National Football Championship Qualifiers Busoga zone early March last year.
