USSSA Fresh Diary Schools games draws on Saturday

The teams that will take part in the USSSA Fresh Diary games due in  Gulu on Monday, will learn their opponents on Saturday, when the draws are conducted at USSSA head office in Old Kampala.

This follows the USSSA boys championship draws that were conducted on Wednesday, where over 60 teams were drawn into 8 different groups ahead of the championship that kicks off on Monday at Mvara SS in Arua.

Now, the games to be hosted by St Joseph’s College Layibi and Sacred Heart Girls Gulu, will see teams of girls football, basketball boys and girls, Hockey boys and girls, racket games and Rugby 15s that for the first time will feature girls rugby, drawn.

Justus Mugisha, the USSSA treasurer says only the paid up teams will be drawn for the games that will last for 8 days in Gulu City.

The USSSA Fresh Diary games to be hosted by St Joseph’s College Layibi and Sacred Heart SS in Gulu has the biggest highlight of girls rugby 15 featuring for the first time in the USSSA games history, where 8 teams had qualified but only 6 will be drawn, a good start.

Record winners and FEASSSA champions Kawempe Moslem will be vying for their second successive accolade after winning the 2019 in Mbale after beating St Noa 4-3 on penalties, the event Rehema Adubango (RIP) played a big role in their coming back to the podium and Kawempe are expected to wear black armbands in honor of their fallen player.
