The 2024 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association Boys Football champions, St Julian High School Seeta held a trophy parade in their locality on Monday as they were celebrating their milestone.
St Julian beat Amus College 3-0 in the final held at Masaka SS in Masaka City on Sunday.

The team paraded the trophy from the school campus in Lumuli, through Seeta town, Mukono Kawuga, Mukono City and the parade climaxed at the District headquarters where they were received by the area deputy RDC.
Every one who got a chance to have the microphone, sang praises to Julian for ending the 22 years trophy drought in the district.
“For a very long time, Mukono District has cried and cried like Arsenal but now we smile, we thank St Julian for bringing us this long awaited joy and victory, I was reading it in news that schools have been using “bacuba” but i thank you that you have used the rightful players and again, you won. This is the first day of celebration but again this is a full year of celebration and we are going to come to St Julian to celebrate with you officially.” Mukono District Deputy RDC, Micheal Ssegawa.
In the same line, the Association of secondary schools head teachers in Uganda, Mukono District representative, Gordon Katindo also thanked the School for ending the cry of Mukono people.
“This is the first trophy we’re raising for the first time after 22 years of drought, so St Julian we’re proud of you. Now you have been the national champions, we want you to win the East Africa championship.” says, Gordon Katindo who represented Association of Secondary Schools Head teachers of Uganda in Mukono District.
The regional chairman, Richard Muhumuza also thanked Julian as well as promising the area that they will try their best to see that they retain the trophy.

“I want to thank the director, it’s amazing, St Julian has represented Mukono and returned with the trophy in the first year, we want to work very hard to see that we maintain this trophy, we had three slots but now we have four slots because of St Julian, so I want to thank them very much for giving us this glory.” Said Greater Mukono Region chairperson, Richard Muhumuza.
The School’s director, Jeff Sserunjogi revealed that they are immediately starting preparation for the FEASSSA games slated to take place in late August 2024 in Bukedea.
Naggalama Islamic was the last school to win Mukono a trophy way back in 2002.
