2024 might have just started in May for the people in Masaka City! The USSSA National Boys Football Championiship has brought back those happy days to their faces as the intensity in the quest for glory has significantly increased.

The round of 16 was not the best of days for Kampala zone finalists Kawempe Muslim SS as their FEASSSA hopes were ended by a surprisingly high spirited Kisozi Seed SS.
Kawempe Muslim SS got off to a flying start as they scored in the opening minutes of the game played at Muteesa stadium thanks to an Alvin Kitibwa well timed header in the fifth minute.

Kisozi Seed managed to come back from behind twice in a game that bared end to end action salvaging a two all draw. Kisozi Seed got the better of Kawempe Muslim in the penalty shootouts winning 5-4 to storm the quarter finals.

In the other last 16 ties, Amus College School crumbled against a much improved Jinja SS side in a game they could have easily killed off in the first half. Jinja SS were awarded a penalty in the closing stages of the game after Amus captain Toto Majub poorly timed his clearance and kicked Jinja SS player inside the forbidden area.
Toto Majub later missed a spot kick for Amus which sent the crowds into wild celebrations at Sports Arena- Masaka
