USSSA Games: Kitende, Light High impress on day two of Wakiso Qualifiers

St Mary’s Kitende and Light High School, Seguku put up yet a thrilling show as they perfect run winning all the four games played so far in the USSSA Wakiso Zonal Games.

On day two of the ongoing qualifiers, St Mary’s Kitende secured two victories beating St Mary’s Kasokoso 6-0 in the morning before sealing the day with a 6-0 win against St Micheal International.

In the opening game, Denis Kisiriko (hat trick), Vicent Ayebale, Olimi Nyarwa, and Arafat Nkola were on target as Kitende sealed the well-deserved victory.

The two victories mean that Kitende has now scored 22 goals and is yet to concede in four games played thus far.

Elsewhere, Light High Seguku registered a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Madina Islamic in a thrilling encounter in front of a huge crowd.

Rogers Achema fired Madina Islamic ahead with a thrilling finish before Benard Bagambe and Reagan Okwi scored for Light High Seguku to claim maximum points on the day.

It has not been a great day for Nsagi Zone champions, Madinah Islamic who shared spoils with Divine College in a one-all draw.

Timothy Odwori scored for Divine College while danger-man Rogers Achema scored for Madinah Islamic.

Games will continue into day three as the groups come to an end. Quarterfinals will be played on Thursday as the championship continues to take shape.
