USSSA Greater Mukono Regional qualifiers 2024 reach final bend in Nyenga, Buikwe

Quarter-finals (Sunday, 14th April 2024):

Quality High School Buikwe Vs Namagabi (Nyenga) 9 am

Vision of Africa Vs St John’s SS Kauga (Allied Teachers) 9 am

St Julian Vs Mehta SS (Nyenga) 10:30 am

Mukono Kings Vs St Mathias Kalemba SS (Allied Teachers) 10:30 am

It is the final bend of the 2024 USSSA Greater Mukono boys’ football qualifiers. On Sunday, 14th Apirl 2024, the quarter-finals, semi-finals and grand final will be played to determine the three successful schools for the upcoming nationals in Masaka.

The grueling group stages were all played on Saturday, 13th April 2024 at the different grounds of Lugazi Homeland, Buikwe, Allied Teachers’ School playground and Nyenga community.

“We had successful group stage duels. All apart from one school turned up and there was no any sort of distraction. We are now eyeing the knock-out stages on Sunday. May the best school win” Sewaya Miti, an official from USSSA disclosed.

Quality High School Buikwe topped group A with 4 points (better head-to-head record) whilst St Mathias Kalemba SS came second with 4 points.

Vision for Africa (5 points) and Mehta SS (5 points) were first and second respectively from group B.

In group C, Mukono Kings came top unscratched with 7 points ahead of Namagabi SS (5 points).

St Julian SS was outstanding in group D with 7 points (better goal difference) ahead of St John’s SS Kauga.

Quarter final match ups:

Quality High School Buikwe takes on Namagabi SS in the quarter final at Nyenga playground (9 am). At the same time, Vision of Africa will play St John’s SS Kauga at the Allied SS playground.

St Julian SS squares up with Mehta SS at Nyenga (10:30 AM) and at the same time, Mukono Kings will play St Mathias Kalemba at the Allied Teachers’ SS playground.

The semi-finals, third-place match and final will come later on the same day.

Three successful schools from the Greater Mukono region will make the grade for the 2024 USSSA national football championship in Masaka city.
