Kampala – The Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), in partnership with the Association of Secondary School Headteachers of Uganda (ASSHU) and the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA), has officially opened the bidding process for the 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools National Championships.
The prestigious annual championships will include:
National Ball Games I
Secondary School Football Boys Championship
Secondary School Swimming Gala
Ball Games II / Athletics Championship
Elite Games
Secondary schools across Uganda are invited to express their interest in hosting or co-hosting these events, which attract thousands of young athletes, coaches, and officials nationwide.
Submission Guidelines
Interested schools must complete the official bid forms and submit them to the USSSA Chief Executive Officer at GNS Plaza (opposite Gaddafi Mosque) or via email at usssa2002@gmail.com no later than September 30, 2025, before 5:00 pm.
All bids must be endorsed by local district authorities, including the Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), District Education Officer (DEO), and District Sports Officer (DSO).

The hosting schools are expected to provide adequate venues, accommodation, medical facilities, feeding arrangements, security, and the necessary infrastructure to ensure a safe and successful event.
