Day two of Lango zonal qualifiers has been yet a great day like no other with very high expectations from different camps on who will make it to Teso.
By the close of the day some teams were already on cloud nine because of their excellent performance that earned them slots to Ball games II.
In handball Maruzi Seed School and Doctor College qualified for Ball Games II and finishing first and second in their groups respectively since Lango Zone has only two slots in handball boys compared one for girls who are Maruzi Seed School girls team that won St Katherine by 11:9.
Football under 16 boys which saw two teams that is Mentor SS and Lira Town College compete for the only one slot allocated to the Zone. Mentor SS emerged victorious after winning Lira Town College by 2 the nil in a highly anticipated game. The Zone did not have teams participating in girls football.
Winners of Volleyball boys are Mentor SS and Akalo SS and topping their group and girls teams are St Katherine SS and St Mary’s Magdalen SS who are the only girls teams that have taken part in the tournament.
