The journey to the National show piece officially kicked off in Masindi with qualifiers attracting a decent number of teams vying to represent Bunyoro in Ngora and Bukedea in boys’ and girls’ football respectively.

Boys Football
Matchday one was dominated by close contests considering the fact that only table leaders were to progress to the semi finals from the group stages.
The level of competition could be exhibited across all results as only one draw was registered.
In group D Kabalega SS‘ 7-0 victory over Iman SS was the biggest win margin registered in what was a boys to men affair at Masindi Stadium.
Girls Football
The mini competition attracted 12 teams that were grouped into four where only table leaders would progress to the semi finals.
Masindi Army was flawless as they seamlessly progressed to the semi finals unbeaten, and free scoring.
Semi finals
Masindi SS will battle Excel High while Masindi Army takes on St. Theresa to see who advances to the final in girls’ football category.
Meanwhile, a huge clash between Masindi SS and Kabalega is on the cards at Masindi stadium to determine who plays winner between Masindi Army and Greenfield in the final.
