A team comprising of Ministry of Education and Sports, USSSA, ASSHU and Technical Officials was led by Hajj Twahil Kiteezaala the Chairman of the National Organizing Committee (NOC) to ascertain the readiness of Teso College Aloet (TCA) to host the USSSA National Ball Games II.

Areas of focus included accommodation, playing grounds, safety and security, feeding and general welfare of the athletes. Despite a few areas to fix in certain aspects, the NOC believes TCA has shown full potential to host this year’s edition and with a positive mind towards fixing all the areas that need any upgrade.

The games will attract over 11,000 athletes if the non FEASSA qualifying games are considered but the number might go down to over 6,000 if the split of the games is approved by the Ministry of Education and Sports
We have visited venues and facilities for games and accommodation. We are satisfied beyond doubt that TCA is in a position to host USSSA National Ball Games II 2024. They have more than enough grounds for the games, accommodation facilities are generally satisfactory and ready to compensate for the inadequacies. Noted Hajji Twahil.

The school can ably accommodate 6500 athletes, this potential is achieved thanks to the fact that TCA has up to 56 classroom and 18 dormitories. The grounds to be used will include and not limited to Sports Ground, UCC, St. Kizito, Pioneer ground, Busitema University. Among other facilities are the main halls, dining halls and libraries from both the Eastern and Western Wings of the school.
Mind games have made their way into the USSSA activities and will feature in this year’s edition with 7 mind games lined to be competed for. We also have under age category games that will be played, Under 16 for the ball games of Football, volleyball, netball, among others.
These games are scheduled for 9th – 17th July 2024 and will feature both boys and girls in up to 14 sports disciplines and all will be hosted by Teso College Aloet (TCA).
