Masaka zone confirmed the quarter finalists of the 2024 Uganda Secondary School Sports Association (USSSA) boys’ football qualifiers hosted in Kalangala district.
Masaka SS booked their last eight ticket after a three nil thrashing of St. Gonzaga in a game that was played at Kaala playground. Kirama John Bosco, Lubega Shabil Opoka and Lawrence scored for coach Rogers Lwebuga’s side.
The long-time Masaka Zone football Giant will now lock horns with NUMASA High School at the quarter finals.
.Meanwhile, 2023 Nationals finalists St. Henrys College Kitovu will play St. Charles Lwanga Kasasa in the last eight. St. Henry’s beat Mawogola high School 1:0 at the quarters.
Elsewhere, Bessed Sacrament Kimanya ousted Kabale Nsajje 1:0 in what was a very tense game where Elvis Oparwoth was on target to score the lone goal for the Masaka city football champion 2024.
