USSSA Sports Management and Administration Course Kicks Off in Mbarara

The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Sports Management and Administration Course for the western region commenced today at Ntare School in Mbarara City. This three-day course, set to conclude on January 29, has drawn 102 participants from over 20 districts across the region.

Notable districts represented include Bushenyi, Kisoro, Rubirizi, Kyenjojo, Bundibugyo, Mbarara, and Hoima, among others. This course follows successful editions held in Kibuli, Jinja, and Gulu, marking the final USSSA sports administration and management course for January.

The comprehensive program features expert instructors, including Deo Mutabazi, President of the Uganda Beach Soccer Association, who led discussions on effective governance culture in sports associations and finance in sports associations. Patrick Okanya, Head of USSSA Capacity Building, delved into USSSA’s development activities, while Omaria Bosco, Head of Marketing and Communications at USSSA, shared insights on communication and media relations.

This initiative underscores USSSA’s commitment to enhancing sports management and administration capacities across Uganda, fostering a brighter future for sports development in the country.
