USSSA ZONAL QUALIFIERS 2025: KARAMOJA ZONE SCHOOLS FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP COME TO CLIMAX

The Karamoja Zone Schools Football Championship took place at Kotido Senior Secondary School from April 9th to 12th, featuring 21 girls’ and 22 boys’ schools.

Champions Emerge

The championship has come to an end, with Kangole Girls and Ariengesiep emerging as champions in the girls’ and boys’ categories, respectively.

Girls’ Category

In the girls’ final, Kangole Girls defeated Kotido SS 1-0, showcasing their dominance on the field. This victory marks a significant achievement for the Kangole Girls team.

Boys’ Category

The boys’ final saw Ariengesiep defeat Lotuke Seed 1-0, demonstrating their skill and determination. Earlier, in the semifinals, Ariengesiep had a thrilling encounter with Kotido SS, winning 4-3 on penalties after the match ended 0-0. In the other semifinal, Abim SS lost to Lotuke Seed 1-3.

The tournament provided a platform for young athletes to showcase their talents and compete at the zone level, with the ultimate goal of securing one of the limited slots for the Karamoja zone in the upcoming national games in May.
