Overview
Mukono Zone qualifiers played on 29th and 30th June were the sieve for the best schools to represent the zone at the National championship. The qualified schools will represent Mukono in ball games II FEASSSA Qualifiers and Non- FEASSA Qualifiers that will take place in Teso College Aloet- Soroti in July and September respectively.
Schools competed in boys’ and girls’ football Under 16, netball, volleyball and handball for National slots.
Football Under-16
Latifah Mixed SS hosted the mini-football championship that kicked off on 29th Saturday in Kabimbiri -Mukono.
Eight boys’ football teams and five Girls’ Football teams came on site to battle for the coveted slots.
Vision For Africa SS, Quality High School will represent Mukono in the boys’ football U-16 as will Lugazi Homestone in the girls’ category.
Netball, volleyball and handball
The one-day long competition was hosted by Hilton High School Mukono.
Five slots are allocated for netball, 2 for volleyball both boys and girls and three for handball (boys and girls).
