Fort City’s Fort Portal SS were crowned the Zonal Boys football champions as they outwitted Kyabenda SS having come back from a goal down to win 3-1 thanks to a Zilgar Ogwar hatrick.
Jordan Tugume put Kyabenda SS ahead just seconds after kick off capitalizing on Fort portal SS defensive flaws. This however invited a lot of pressure as Fort Portal SS showed that mettle and champions mentality.
Fort Portal star boy Zilgar rose to the occasion levelling matters and later running the show on their journey to championship victory.
Meanwhile in the Fresh Dairy Secondary School Games girls Football Final, Moons Vocational School defeated Nyakigumba Secondary School to lift the girls football trophy.
In a game where either team gave away less opportunities to the opponent the goal margin clearly describes how cagey it was.
However, Moons Vocational managed to come out on top as Rwenzori champions.
The Rwenzori Zone will be represented by three teams both in boys and girls category insinuating that the third place play-off winner joins the champion and the other finalist on the match to the table of men.
In the boys category, Fort Portal SS, Kyabenda SS, and Maddox SS will lift the Rwenzori flag and like wise Moons Vocational School, Nyakigumba Secondary School, and Nyakisenyi Secondary School for the girls.
