Boys’ and girls’ football for the Under 16 category kicked off on 29th June in Mukono zone qualifiers. A total of 5 girls football teams are vying for one spot at the National Ball Games 2.

The 5 Girls’ Football teams played in round robin format. With the teams totalling to 5, a minimum of ten matches will be played before the champion Mukono zone can be determined.
Matchday 1 played at Kikube C/U saw a total of 21 goals scored in 5 matches.
Mukono Kings High School made a statement victory in their second game of the day as they beat 10-0 Lord’s Meade SS despite an underwhelming start in the opening fixture.
Action resumes on Sunday 30th for the remaining 5 games.
