USSSA BALL GAMES II: All Winners And Most Valuable Players

For starters, the USSSA Ball Games II were split into two being named FEASSA qualifiers and non FEASSA.

The first edition of the games were held in July featuring disciplines that are played at the East African level in a search for teams to represent Uganda at the FEASSA games which were held in Uganda.

The disciplines included athletics, basketball, Handball, netball, volleyball and many others leaving games like beach soccer, football under 16 and under 14, lacrosse, beach volleyball, Handball under 16, basketball under 16, dance sport and mind games for the second phase.

Both editions were hosted by Teso College Aloet in July and September respectively with over 1,000 participants taking part in each of the editions.

Amus College, Standard High School Zzana were among the few schools which bagged two or more trophies in the recently concluded championship.

St Mary’s Kitende won the CAF Africa Schools Football Championship Qualifiers Boys category after topping ahead of giant schools like Royal Giant High School, Buddo Secondary School and St Andrew Kaggwa Gombe High School after playing on a round robin format.

St Noa Girls’ dethroned Kawempe Muslim Secondary School to win the girls category and they will represent Uganda at the above mentioned championship with dates and host yet to be confirmed

Standard High School Zzana won a double in beach soccer defending the boys title and dethroning Mukono Kings in the girls category

St Andrew Kaggwa Gombe High School won the girls chess title in mind games with Sarah Nakalyowa also from Gombe winning the MVP Award.
