Standard High Zzana secured two victories in the two games they played on day two of the ongoing 2024 USSSA Games in Masaka on Sunday.
In the morning, STAHIZA edged Luwero SS in a 2-1 victory during an encounter played at Masaka Secondary School play ground.
Christine Nuwagaba and Sharif Sizza gave STAHIZA a 2-0 lead at the end of the first stanza before Luwero SS pulled back one from the spot.
In their second game of the day, STAHIZA secured a well deserved 4-1 victory against Wisdom High School.
Christian Nuwagaba, Benon Lutaaya, Emmanuel Ambayo, and David Mwebaze scored STAHIZA’s goals before Wisdom HS pulled back one late in the game.

In the post match interview, Lutaya revealed that he longs to guide his team to the East Africa Games.
“I am glad that I scored today. I look forward to score more so that the team can qualify for East Africa games,” he stated.
“We have one target and that winning one game at a time. We know that all teams here are good but we are equally good and so we have to fight for the team,” he added.
Lutaya also added that the strikers have to work on their final touch so that they convert more.
“It’s sad that we score less yet we create a number of chances. We have to work on our final touch and chemistry in the final third so that we can score more goals.”
