USSSA Games: Paidha SS hold St Juliana Seeta

Paidha Secondary School and St Juliana Seeta shared spoils after one-all stalemate in the ongoing 2024 USSSA National Games on Sunday evening.

Simon Wanyama scored for St Juliana Seeta in the first stanza before Paidha SS leveled matters in the second stanza.

The game delayed by 20 minutes but as soon as Paidha Secondary School arrived at the ground they were sent onto the green.

Suprisingly, even without warming up Paidha SS started on the front foot creating several chances but hardly utilized their chances.

James Ssekate thought he had given St Juliana the lead but it was flagged offside as he wheeled away into celebrations.

Simon Wanyama finally broke the deadlock, shirt 9 won possession before he laid a cut back. Ssekate’s effort was blocked by the custodian before Wanyama tapped home from close range.

Five minutes into the second stanza, Javine Mungdit leveled matters with an easy finish after St Julian failed to clear their lines.

In the final minutes it was one way traffic as St Julian threw all bodies upfront to regain their lead but Paidha SS stood tall to ensure they secure the golden point.
