Since Saturday, 26th April 2024 when girls’ football kicked off at the Fresh Dairy USSSA games, there have been thrilling action on the various fields of play.
Goals have scored in varying fashion, wonder passes executed and eye catching dribbles perfected during the different group stage matches.
After the numerous games during the group stages, it is now knock out round, commencing with the stage of 16 teams chasing the coveted prize.
The round of 16 will take center stage on Wednesday, 1st May 2024 before the rest of the classification duels, quarters, semi-finals and finals shall follow suit.
All eyes will be on the defending champions Amus College School from Bukedea who are eyeing a successful title defence.
It will not be a mere walk in the park for Amus College School as a number of schools like the reigning FEASSSA girls’ football champions Kawempe Muslim, St Noa Girls School Zzana, Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga, Rines S.S, Mukono Kings, Boni Consilli Girls’ School and others are also keeping a keen jealousy eye.
Girls football is being played alongside rugby (15’s), hockey, table tennis and badminton.
These games climax on the 5th May 2024.
