Ngora High School Set to Host the Prestigious Tournament from May 5th to 15th, 2025
KAMPALA, UGANDA—The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) has officially confirmed the list of qualified schools that will participate in the 2025 National U20 Football Boys ‘ Football Championship, which will take place from May 5th to 15th, 2025, at Ngora High School in the Teso Zone.
Following an extensive round of zonal qualifiers held between April 1st and 20th, schools from across the country have earned their spots at the national stage. The USSSA has also provided critical timelines and updates concerning team verification, player enrollment, and payment deadlines ahead of the tournament.
“We congratulate all the qualified schools and urge them to comply with the verification and payment deadlines. Our commitment remains to ensure fair play, transparency, and a high level of competition,” said Mugisha Christopher Banage, USSSA CEO.
Key Dates and Activities:
- Verification of National Qualifiers: April 22–30, 2025 (Only in Kampala)
- Zonal Replacements Close: April 25, 2025
- Payments & National Replacements Deadline: April 27, 2025
- National Draws & Launch: May 2, 2025
- National Championship: May 5–15, 2025, at Ngora High School
Important Requirements:
- Each school submits 25 players and enrolls 20 eligible to participate, using Form A.
- Schools that fail to complete verification or payment processes by the set deadlines risk disqualification and replacement.
Qualified Schools Include:
A total of 19 zones will be represented, including wild card slots for Karamoja and Masaka, and replacement slots for Mpigi and Luwero.
