ISF: Ugandan Schools Learn Their Opponents For ISF Football Worldcup

In a draws event held in Dalian City China, Ugandan schools learned who they would face in this year’s edition (28th) of the ISF Football Worldcup scheduled for 17th – 27th May 2024.

The draws were conducted by Justus Mugisha, President of the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) who also doubles as President Technical Commission – Football ISF live on ISF TV.

The draws began with the girls’ category which saw Uganda teams (Amus College School – Uganda 2 and St Noa Girls – Uganda 1) placed in groups C&D respectively.

  • Nigeria

Group D

  • Germany
  • Uganda 1 (St Noa Girls)
  • England
  • Ghana and
  • Kenya

In the boys’ category, Ugandan teams (Uganda 3 – SMACK, Uganda 2 – Bukedea Comprehensive, and Uganda 1 – Amus College School) were drawn into groups E, F, and G respectively

  • Newzland

Group F (Boys)

  • Brazil
  • Uganda 2 (Bukedea Comprehensive)

  • Benin
  • Uganda 1 (Amus College School)

  • Kenya

After conducting the draws, USSSA President was full of praise for the host City and Country

“It was a great experience performing a draw for 56 teams from the top 33 football countries of the world in this great city of China, Dalian”. Said Justus

“The facilities here, hotels and stadiums, are among the very best in the world. This promises to be the best ISF tournament ever organized. I am glad that Uganda will be heavily represented.” he added

He also noted the preparedness of the Ugandan School teams

“The five teams that will represent the country and the strongest have shown that they are capable of carrying the flag high. All five teams have already started preparing and are playing in various school tournaments,” said Mugisha.
“We are very confident that the schools that will represent Uganda will put up good performances and be able to finish among the best in their different categories,” he added. – Source Xinhua Net

In Last year’s ISF World Cup at the Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco ( 27th Edition), Uganda was represented by two boys and one girls’ school teams – Amus College, Kibuli SS, and St Noa Girls where St Noa finished as Bronze Medalist, Amus 17th and Kibuli SS 22nd. China and France emerge victorious in the girls’ and boys’ categories respectively.
