Meeting held between USSSA and Sports Federations on capacity building.

A meeting has been held between USSSA and sports federations at the USSSA offices.

A total of seven federations have been represented to exchange ideas on capacity before another set of classes commences in December.

This December 2025 will mark three years since the capacity building program was introduced with the first participants attending their classes at Kibuli SSS.

The program has however been held at various locations across the country over the years producing referees, umpires and media students in various disciplines who have been very instrumental during the championships

The areas of discussion included the following any new proposals to the program, duration of classes, levels of participation and promotion, any adjustments to the deployment.

In his remarks Mr. Okanya was thankful to the federations and instructors for tirelessly teaching the participants. “It is you we are depending on as federations to teach these participants and we are grateful that most of them are now officiating during the championships” said Okanya.
