FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SUBJECT: UPDATE ON UGANDAN DELEGATION TRAVEL TO MOROGORO, TANZANIA
The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) wishes to inform the public, parents, schools, and all stakeholders of a temporary delay affecting part of the Ugandan delegation traveling to Morogoro, Tanzania, for the regional school games.
During routine regulatory checks, some school buses and drivers were withheld due to incomplete clearance and documentation. This has affected the departure schedule of several teams and officials.
USSSA acknowledges the concern and assures all stakeholders that the matter is being addressed urgently.
In close coordination with the Ministry of Education and Sports, Ministry of Works, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Uganda Police Force, we have instituted immediate measures to ensure all affected teams are cleared and proceed to Morogoro without further delay.
MANDATORY ARRANGEMENTS FOR MONDAY, 11TH AUGUST 2026
- BUS INSPECTION
Time: 8:00 AM sharp
Venue: Namanve
All affected school buses must report for inspection.
- DRIVER BADGE TESTING
Time: 8:30 AM sharp
Venue: Ministry of Works
All drivers of affected buses must present themselves for badge testing and verification.
Schools are kindly requested to ensure full compliance with the above arrangements to enable fast-tracking of clearance for travel.
USSSA sincerely appreciates the support and cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Sports, Ministry of Works, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Uganda Police Force in resolving this matter swiftly.
