The Kampala Zone qualifiers for the USSSA Ball Games II officially concluded on Friday, 26th June 2026, at Kibuli Secondary School, with schools booking their tickets to the national championships scheduled for next month in Gulu City.
The Kampala zone qualifiers took place on 25th and 26th June 2026 at Kibuli SS as schools battled for slots at the National showpiece.
Key Dates
29th June -4th July – Pre-championship verification exercise (USSSA Offices)
8th July – 18th July – USSSA Ball Games II (Sacred Heart SS Gulu)
One of the standout moments of the qualifiers came in the U-15 Girls Football category, where Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga marked their debut in the competition with an impressive victory over Kawempe Muslim Secondary School to qualify for the nationals.
Kawempe Muslim SS also secured qualification also being holders of the National trophy.
Several other schools earned qualification across different disciplines, including netball, volleyball, basketball 3×3, handball, and football.
