The Commissioner for Physical Education and Sports, Rev. Canon Dr. Duncans Mugumya, has met with the boys’ and girls’ teams of Team Uganda ahead of the 2026 Federation of East African Secondary Schools Sports Associations (FEASSA) Games in Morogoro, Tanzania.
Rev. Canon Dr. Mugumya, who is the Leader of Delegation for Team Uganda, interacted with the athletes and officials as they continue with their final preparations for the regional championship.
During his engagements with both the boys’ and girls’ teams, the Commissioner emphasized the importance of teamwork, discipline, smartness and maintaining a positive attitude throughout the competition.
He reminded the athletes that they are ambassadors of Uganda and urged them to represent the country with pride, respect and discipline both on and off the field of play.
Rev. Canon Dr. Mugumya further encouraged the teams to remain focused, work together and follow guidance from their coaches and officials as they seek to deliver strong performances for Uganda.
The visit is part of the delegation’s preparations and efforts to ensure that Team Uganda is well coordinated and ready for the FEASSA Games.
