Defending champion Buddo SS, first to arrive in Lira bar hosts, started off brightly with a 2-0 victory over Teso College Aloet.
Debutant Bukedea Comprehensive North played out a one all draw against perennial champions St Mary’s Kitende.
This result leaves SMASK in 3rd outside qualification places with Lubiri on top and Bukedea North second.
Lubiri SS, the only side from Kampala Zone that won a game on the opening day, having beaten Mukono’s Seroma Christian 3-0 to set early pace for advancement.
What could possibly go wrong?

Amus College under Coach Richard Malinga also started off brightly with a 4-0 win and look forward to posting better performances than last year, where they were eliminated at the round of 32.
Richard Malinga won the title with Buddo SS last year, Coach Ronald Ssali, is with Bukedea Comprehensive School South, which is yet to taste domestic victory having won the FEASSA trophy last year.
