Overview
Post match day 2 of the USSSA Kampala Zone qualifiers for the National boys football show piece in Lira, the tables have taken shape and battle for slots intensified.

In group C, Lubiri SS already confirmed a spot in the quarter finals, they have played 4 games scoring nine whilst only conceding once.
Buziga Islamic is the other side that has performed exceptionally well with one more group game before they can confirm their opponents in the last 8.
They kicked off with a hard fought 1-0 win away to defending champion Uganda Martyrs HS Lubaga on match day which set them flying for the rest of the group games.
Meanwhile, it doesn’t get any easier in group B with the top 3 separated by just a point. Kawempe Muslim, Kakungulu Memorial and Mengo SS all have a chance to come out on top of the log.
Mengo SS eyes a chance of returning to the National centre stage since 2023 in Fort portal when they debuted.
