2026 National Boys football championship qualifiers have reached the most desired stage in Wakiso zone as well as Ball Games one slots battles.
Kyaddondo SS fresh from UMEA Solidarity games victory in Mbale, got the better of National defending champion Buddo SS in the zone semi finals where they eliminated the latter via spot kicks.
Only Abdul Shakur Babi and Ronald Ssegirinya managed to score for Buddo while Lukyamuzi shot stopper for Kyaddondo produced heroics against Zangi Okello and Ibrahim Wayita to send his team to this year’s final.
St Mary’s Kitende had a lot for Aiden College Ndejje striking 3-0 with Jordan Tugume’s brace and Denis Kisiriko’s joining the score sheet.
With six Nationals slots allocated to Wakiso, Aiden College, Greenlight Islamic Secondary School – Nansana, and Madina Islamic joined the semi finalists as flag bearers in Lira come May at the National show piece.
In the girls’ football category, St Noa Girls Zana takes on Rines S.S in the final.
The early kick off for the bronze medal match has Boston High and Light High School Sseguku.
Gates at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium open as early as 8 AM.
