11 am: St Mary’s Yala (Kenya) Vs St Mary’s Kitende (Uganda) – Highland
1 pm: Kakamega School (Kenya) Vs Kyadondo SS – Moro Secondary
3 pm: Urambo Day (Tanzania) Vs Bukedea Comprehensive School – Jamhuri Stadium)
Girls’ Football:
9 am: Amus College School (Uganda) Vs Boni Consili Girls Vocational & Secondary School (Uganda) – Jamhuri Stadium
11 am: Rines Secondary School (Uganda) Vs ZIBA (Tanzania) – Jamhuri Stadium
1 pm: Nyakach Girls (Kenya) Vs Jinja Progressive Academy (Uganda) – Ujenzi stadium
1 pm: St Joseph’s Girls Kitale (Kenya) Vs Alliance (Tanzania) – Highland
The 23rd edition of the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games gets underway on Friday, 14th August 2026 in Morogoro city, Tanzania.
It is excitement filling this rather busy mountainous town which will buzz as the first kick of the ball for soccer rages on.
Powerhouse Uganda has an ably representation in either gender; envisaging success on both fronts.
Boys’ action on game day one:
At 9 am, IPTEM Makamba (Burundi) will take on Nsumba (Tanzania) at the SUA.
During the same time, Uganda’s Amus College School plays Mbeya Day (Tanzania) at the Ujenzi stadium.
“We yearn for a positive start as we go for gold. Every match will mean a great deal for us” Richard Malinga, head coach at Amus College commented.
St Mary’s Yala (Kenya) tussles St Mary’s Kitende (Uganda) at the Highland playground in a 11 am duel.
Kakamega School (Kenya) will take on Kyadondo SS at Moro Secondary School playground at 1 PM.
The final game on the day shall come at 3 pm as Urambo Day (Tanzania) plays Bukedea Comprehensive School – Jamhuri Stadium).
Girls:
For the girls, it is an all Ugandan affair as Amus College School tussles against Boni Consili Girls Vocational & Secondary School at the Jamhuri Stadium in the early kick off at 9 AM.
Uganda’s reigning champions in girls’ football Rines Secondary School will then follow suit against Tanzanian opposition ZIBA at the same venue (11 AM).
At Ujenzi stadium; Kenya’s Nyakach Girls will tussle against Jinja Progressive Academy (Uganda) during the 1 PM kick off duel.
St Joseph’s Girls Kitale (Kenya) will at the same time take on Alliance (Tanzania) at the Highland stadium (1 PM).
The host country (Tanzania) will be joined by teams from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi in over 20 sports disciplines where over 4000 students gather together in typical sporting spirit.
Games’ Galore:
Soccer aside, there is a rich collection of other sports disciplines as Rugby (7’s and 15’s), Basketball (3X3 and 5X5), Netball, Volleyball, Hockey, Athletics, Swimming, Cricket, Baseball & Softball, Tennis, Scrabble, Chess and others.
Secondary, primary schools as well as institutions for special needs children are all in action.
Team Uganda looks for a successful overall title defence; against all the odds.
