Kibuli Secondary School emerged as one of the outstanding performers at the 2026 FEASSA Games in Morogoro, Tanzania, producing a remarkable medal-winning campaign that saw the school collect the highest number of medals for Team Uganda and the highest overall medal haul at the championship.
The Kampala-based school showcased its strength across racket sports, winning four gold medals and one silver medal to underline its dominance at the regional schools sports championship.
Kibuli’s gold medals came in Table Tennis Boys, Table Tennis Girls, Badminton Boys and Lawn Tennis Boys, while the school also secured silver in Lawn Tennis Girls.
The impressive performance placed Kibuli at the centre of Team Uganda’s success in Morogoro, with its athletes consistently competing at the highest level against some of the best school teams from across East Africa.
Beyond the medals, Kibuli’s campaign was also highlighted by individual excellence, with two of its athletes earning Most Valuable Player recognition.
Nangonzi Parvin was named MVP in Table Tennis Girls, following a standout campaign that contributed to Kibuli’s success in the discipline. Sendyowa Latif also claimed MVP honours in Lawn Tennis Boys after an impressive performance that helped the school secure gold.
Kibuli’s achievements are particularly significant considering the scale and competitiveness of the 2026 FEASSA Games, which brought together thousands of student-athletes from across East Africa.
The school’s haul of four gold and one silver medal not only made it the leading medal-winning school in Team Uganda but also the overall top medal collector at the championship.
Its performance is a testament to Kibuli Secondary School’s continued investment in sports development and the ability of school sport to identify, nurture and provide pathways for young talent to compete at regional and international level.
