The boys’ final witnessed Senegal overcome a spirited Uganda 5-4 in post-match penalties after normal time at the Ngoni stadium in Norton, Zimbabwe had ended goal-less.
The finale was also watched by the CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe and other dignitaries on Friday afternoon.
Uganda will face Senegal in the final of the 2026 CAF African schools football championship in Norton forty kilometers outside Harare on Friday, 10th April at the Ngoni stadium.
Wednesday, 8th April 2026 was a resting day for the semi-finalists at the on-going 2026 CAF African schools football championship in Harare city, Zimbabwe.
However it was business as usual for team Uganda who optimally utilized the day for body recovery and also executed final training drills at the Gateway High School playground.

After overcoming blushes in the 1-all draw with hosts Zimbabwe on the opening day, game day two was quite different.
Bashir Edema’s goal for Uganda (St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende) restored parity for the East African zone representatives after Moses Maremudze had scored the opener at the start of the second stanza during the 20-minutes per half encounter.

The Ugandan representatives at the 2026 CAF African Schools football championship (St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende) conducted that final training session at Gateway High School in Harare on Easter Sunday.
Coach Hassan Zungu and Captain Owen Mukisa have attended the Pre match press conference ahead of their opening match where they will face hosts Zimbabwe on Monday 6th April at the Ngoni Stadium in Norton, Zimbabwe.
