Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, proudly rooted in Kawempe Muslim Secondary School, have been crowned champions of the CAF Women’s Champions League – CECAFA Qualifiers 2026 after edging Kenya’s Kenya Police Bullets Women FC 1-0 in a tense final.
Captain fantastic Agnes Nabukenya rose to the occasion in extra time, scoring the all-important winner in the 100th minute to send the Valley Warriors to the continental stage.
With this victory, Kawempe Muslim becomes the first ever Ugandan team to qualify for the prestigious CAF Women’s Champions League.
The final lived up to its billing. After a goalless 90 minutes, it was Kawempe’s experience and resilience nurtured through the USSSA Games that made the difference in extra time.
This triumph is a powerful testament to the USSSA pathway – from schools football dominance to CECAFA Queens.
