Wampeewo Ntake Secondary School will contest both the boys’ and girls’ handball finals after another impressive day of action at the ongoing USSSA Ball Games II 2026 in Gulu.
The school maintained its dominance in the sport with commanding performances in the semifinals, keeping alive hopes of lifting both national titles.In the girls’ semifinal, Wampeewo Ntake defeated Kibuli Secondary School 14-6 to secure a place in the final.
They will now face Gombe Secondary School, who overcame Kawanda Secondary School 14-10 in the other semifinal.
The boys’ team also rose to the occasion, defeating Bombo Army Secondary School 13-10 in a closely contested semifinal.
Their victory set up a mouthwatering final against Mbogo Mixed Secondary School, who booked their place after a convincing 22-9 win over Kakungulu Memorial School.
Wampeewo’s qualification for both finals is a testament to the school’s strength, consistency and commitment to developing handball talent. With both teams now just one victory away from national glory, they will be aiming to cap off an outstanding campaign with a historic double.
